Over the past decade the Liberty Tree Foundation has initiated numerous grassroots campaigns for democratic reform including the Democratizing Education Network Bring the Guard Home Campaign Global Climate Convergence No More Stolen Elections! Wisconsin Wave The Democracy Convention and the movement to codify that corporations are not people and money is not speech In honor of our ten year anniversary we invite you to join us in Boston on November 6th for the launch of the "10,000 for Democracy" membership drive designed to take the U.S. democracy struggle to the next level.   On the agenda will be a discussion of the latest developments in the national and global democracy movements, as well as updates about Liberty Tree's current priorities including building Community Democracy, planning the third Democracy Convention, and organizing towards a People's Climate Strike.

Featured Speaker: Ben Manski, Liberty Tree Foundation founder and president

Ben Manski is a scholar, lawyer, and activist who has been committed to building a U.S. democracy movement since the early 1990s. He is president of the Liberty Tree Foundation, a strategy center he founded in 2004, a co-founder of Move to Amend, and an Associate Fellow with the Institute for Policy Studies. In 2010, Manski co-founded the Wisconsin Wave, which played a leading role in the Wisconsin uprising of 2011 and which continues today. In 2012, he managed the Jill Stein for President campaign; from 2001-2004 he served as co-chair of the Green Party of the United States. He is currently pursuing an advanced degree in sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
