About Us

Were you able to make Sunday's No More Stolen Elections conference call on election integrity and voter assemblies?  If so, thank you for your participation!  If not, please listen to an audio recording of the call here.

No More Stolen Elections! is a non-partisan campaign committed to voting rights, election reform, and deep democratic change. This effort is not supportive of any particular political candidates or parties. Instead of seeking the elevation of one candidate over others, we see "No More Stolen Elections!" as an important part of building the kind of movement that can achieve the reforms promised in the Voter Bill of Rights.

We follow in the footsteps of earlier voting rights struggles. We draw inspiration from the suffrage and civil rights movements of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, the experience from the Democracy Summer coalition of 2001, and the No Stolen Elections! campaign of 2004, and No More Stolen Elections! campaigns of 2008 and 2011. And like those historic movements, we act in concert with campaigns to democratize not only elections, but also our communities, economy, schools, media, military, and more.

If you agree that two stolen presidential elections are far too many -- if you believe that America's greatest, as yet unfulfilled, promise is democracy -- then necessity demands that you sign the No More Stolen Elections! Pledge of Action, and join us in this campaign.

BACKGROUND

If there is reason to believe that the election is likely to be stolen, as was the case in Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004, we will act to prevent this from happening – pressing to prevent the theft and, if that is impossible, demanding a new, honest election. If it is unclear whether voting rights violations rise to the level of election theft, as was the case in Ohio 2004, we will mobilize everywhere to demand a full and complete count of the vote. If it appears that the election result was defined by the rigging of the process, we will rally statewide to press for progress in enacting democratic reforms.

By Election Day, millions of people's right to vote will have been violated. In the words of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." This is especially true with voting: Voting rights violations anywhere threaten voting rights everywhere. So please, don't wait for a repeat of Florida 2000, or Ohio 2004, Wisconsin 2011, or worse.

Let's get organized, and plan to assemble on November 7th, the day after the election.

No More Stolen Elections! is a project of the Liberty Tree Foundation and sponsored by our partners in the Move to Amend coalition, among others.
